This website, erapack.uk, is run by Era Manufacturing Ltd, trading as EraPack, of Unit 7c Britannia Estate, Luton, LU3 1RJ. We print custom paper cups in that factory and sell them through this site. This page says what we collect about you, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number, the cups you ordered, and the artwork you send us to print. Card details go straight to Shopify Payments and never touch our systems; we see only the last four digits and whether the payment went through. Bank transfers come straight to us.
- When you ask for a quote or design help: whatever you type into the form, plus any file you attach.
- When you create an account: your email address and a password we cannot read. Your saved addresses and past orders sit against it.
- When you subscribe: your email address.
- Automatically: the usual server logs (your IP address, browser, the pages you asked for and when). We keep them for a short period to keep the site working and to spot abuse.
What we do with it
- Make your cups and get them to you, which includes checking your artwork and sending you a proof to approve.
- Tell you where your order is: confirmations, proofs, dispatch notices and tracking.
- Answer your questions.
- Keep the account you asked for.
- Send the occasional email about new cups and offers, but only if you subscribed, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
- Meet our legal obligations, such as keeping invoices for HMRC.
We do not sell your details. This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads tags.
Who else sees it
Only the companies we need to run the site and fill your order:
- Shopify hosts the site and the checkout.
- Shopify holds accounts and orders, and sends our emails.
- Shopify Payments takes card payments.
- Our bank receives bank transfers.
- Our own production and order system, which the factory uses to make and dispatch your cups.
- Couriers get your name, address and phone number so they can deliver.
Each of them acts on our instructions and keeps your details for that purpose only. Some of them process data outside the UK; where they do, they do so under contracts that meet UK data-protection law.
Cookies and storage
Shopify's cookies keep your basket, keep you signed in and count visits. Google Analytics and Google Ads set their own cookies to measure visits and adverts, and Google can recognise your browser on other websites.
How long we keep it
Orders and invoices for six years, because tax law requires it. Enquiries and quotes for two years, so we can pick up where we left off. Your account for as long as you keep it. Subscriber emails until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and object to marketing at any time. Email Hello@erapack.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we will change this page and the date at the top.
